WRONG SIDE OF THE BED
By Daniel Lucchesi
Running Time: less than two minutes
Normality takes a turn on his head when Mr Average Joe suffers a very unlucky day when he gets up on the wrong side of the bed. Will he manage to get back on the right side of life or will he be doomed to suffer bad fortune for the rest of the day? This film was the winner of 2006 One Minute Wonder Competition.
MY RATING: 5/5 - funny, creative, definitely worth watching. TWO MINUTES OF MY TIME WELL-SPENT!

THIS SIDE UP
By Liron Topaz
Running Time: 2:47
A naive music-lover's patience is tested on his quest to download music online, as his perspective on technology completely changes.
MY RATING: 4/5 - a goofy animation about the "joys" of downloading music online. Not as amazingly funny as the first one, but still okay as it's only less than 3 minutes, no biggie. I poop longer than that. No time wasted here.

THE DESK
By Albert Gonzalez
Running Time: 7:44
A story about communication.
MY RATING: 4/5 - Even though I kinda freaked out for a bit (imagining all kinds of scary stuff), this is a cute film. And while I didn't totally get it, it's still better than most Hollywood romance movies haha.

LATE BLOOMER (2004)
Director: Craig Macneill

Running Time: 13 mins.
Official selection at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, Late Bloomer is a compelling and humorous short film about 7th grade sex ed class gone horribly wrong. Loosely based on the dark tales of H.P. Lovecraft.
Audience Award for Best Short Film at the Lake Placid Film Festival . Best Short Film at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival .
Audience Award for Best Short Film at the Lake Placid Film Festival . Best Short Film at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival .
MY RATING: 5/5 - I love the dark humor & the wit poured into this film, not to mention the solid technical aspects, from the cinematography to the camera works and musical score.. Just brilliant. 13 minutes of pure cinematic joy. Even the narration was fitting, at times it felt campy, but it's really fitting. That last scene/line was hilarious!!! Oh, and the boy looks like Winona Ryder, is that part of the Lovecraftian set up? lol
